Having suffered an anaphylactic episode shortly after arriving to stay with a friend in Slindon Common, I was admitted to A&E at St Richards. I am prevented from naming the excellent medical staff who cared for me but all were thorough and professional in administering the required treatment. As a precautionary measure I was kept in for the night and was given excellent care in the Admissions Ward, and the Emergency Ward. This was my first night in hospital since a tonsillectomy 62 years ago, and I am grateful to the excellent team who cared for me at St Richards
