My problem is that now you have to make an appointment for replacing tubing and batteries. The last time I complained the hospital sent them out to me. so this morning I phoned but they said to busy try later. What they don't realise is some people have to use public transport in all weathers to keep that appointment.

Dear RH

Thank you for your post on Care Opinion.

I have checked with the Audiology Department and they have confirmed that you can pick up hearing aid batteries from the clinic and you do not need an appointment. They have also advised that several Health Centres supply hearing aid batteries to save patients having to come to hospital (for example Renfrew Health Centre and Johnstone Health Centre).

Unfortunately you now need to have an appointment for replacement tubing.

I dont see why you have to make an appointment to have the tubing changed when it only takes 20 seconds to change them so why not send them out.plus I tried to phone on Tuesday but it was engaged all the time and when it did ring it was an automated service saying we're busy try later.
