Just spent a few days in Wigan hospital following being admitted. Sent to A and E by my doctor due to being in severe pain.
Was triaged in A and E; then had fairly long wait due to them being extremely busy. Then seen by Orthopedoc doctor who was very thorough and fully explained things to me.
Spent some time in CDW until a bed on ward became available for me. Spent some time on MAU then moved to Aspull ward until my discharge. All of the doctors involved in my care were thorough and treated me with kindness, understanding and empathy. They really listened to me. I felt they were all doing their absolute best for me. The nursing staff were also very caring and treated me so well.
All the staff on Aspull ward were extremely dedicated. They really cared about their patients. They always greeted you with a warm smile and encouraging words.
I received excellent medical care from all the doctors. They told me what they were doing and why. I was kept updated about everything they were doing. Being in hospital can be stressful and daunting. All the staff who treated me took great care of me. I felt safe in their hands. I would like to say a very big 'thank you' to the doctors for superb medical treatment and the nursing staff on Aspull Ward are outstanding. Even the porters were warm, friendly and helpful. "Thank you so much." To you all.
