I called upon the expertise of this surgery after being bitten by a mosquito on my face which swelled up and caused a really unpleasant infection.

I was telephone triaged - I wouldn't say the doctor was terribly friendly but he was matter of fact and very quickly told me to I would need to see the nurse practitioner. He wouldn't really let me finish what I was explaining but in reality he had probably made his decision and didn't need to hear the rest of the spiel I was going to offer him. Can't grumble at that really. The outcome was good.

I was told that if I could travel to a neighbouring village that I could be seen that afternoon. Appointment was running beautifully to time and the member of staff assessed and prescribed treatment for me really efficiently - I barely said ten words and hey presto!

Fabulous service if a little "mechanical" in the delivery. But when all is said and done, I needed treating and I got just that really quickly so I don't feel it's really a legitimate grumble - more an observation that I feel ought to be mentioned.

Fast forward a week and I am away in Scotland and my abx had finished. The infection came back with a vengeance and my whole face was hot, swollen and painful.

Long story short the Surgery arranged for me to collect a prescription from a local pharmacy in Scotland, within the hour.

We always strive to improve our level of service provided to Patients so that they receive the best possible customer service and care provided by the Health Practitioners and GP's and beyond.

It is great to hear also that your prescription was available and ready for collection whilst you were away in Scotland.
