"Thank you"

About: Queen's Hospital / Maternity care

I am a registrar (doctor) and had seen some traumatic births before so felt very anxious about labour. I had my first baby November 2018 and I have nothing but praise for all of the professionals I met at queens birth centre. The midwives who looked after me were kind and reassured me when I was at my most vulnerable and scared. I had a natural labour; I spent hours in the birthing pool and only had gas and air and I am in no doubt that I wouldn’t have managed it without their amazing care. I was back at home with my baby 14 hours after giving birth. The entire experience was exemplary. I would certainly recommend giving birth on the midwife led unit. Fantastic experience.

Thank you for taking the time to say 'Thank you' to the maternity unit at Queens Hospital. It is lovely to read such reviews both for the staff who work on the Birthing Unit and for women to read who are considering that option. It is positive to read that your birth experience was exemplary and that you would recommend Queens Birth Centre to others.

Best wishes
