I would like to say what a huge improvement this practice has made. I’ve been a patient at this surgery for almost 4 years and was on the verge of leaving last year. Unfortunately I do suffer from a long term
Condition and I suppose I do visit my doctors more than others.
In the last year or so I am pleased to say the service and services offered from this surgery I have improved immensely. The one factor I would like to mention is seeing the same familiar faces at reception when I come to the surgery especially at 8am. The receptionist is always smiling considering it’s 8am which is very welcoming for us the patient’s.
I attended last week on Monday and the receptionist was speaking to a patient who was extremely rude. This receptionist was very professional and polite considering the abuse she was receiving from this patient who eventually left after banging the desk at the front of house. I approached the desk expecting the receptionist to be quiet or upset but this receptionist was amazing she was still smiling and spoke to me very happily and bubbly. I did say to her that it was early morning she did not need that from the previous patient to which she smiled and said it’s ‘ok’ and continued to ask me how she could help me.
Receptionists in general are the fore front of any doctors surgery and they deserve credit for the fantastic job they do and the unfortunate harassment they receive from disgruntled patients and this particular receptionist who I’ve seen many times at 8am I salute as I could not be as calm as she was and still continue to smile.
