"Skin Cancer"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Dermatology Outpatients Centre / Dermatology

(as a service user),

I had a strange freckle/mole appear on my shoulder.  I went to my doctor who said he didn’t think it was worrying but would refer me anyway.  I saw a lovely Doctor in Dermatology Stirling and she said as well that she didn’t think it was alarming but she would send me for a biopsy just to be sure.

David and Susan made me so relaxed, they were so friendly that the biopsy was over very quickly.

The diagnosis was Lentigo Maligna so I’m very thankful to all the staff at Stirling Hospital and Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

It is great that you found everyone to be approachable and friendly along the way.

Hopefully the L.M. has been completely removed and you are healing well.

Thanks again

David
