I visited a&e this evening after my son developed a nasty croup virus, I was greeted by a warm friendly smile from the lovely people behind the desk who couldn't be more welcoming, my son is 1 and doesnt have much experience of drs or nurses & a hospital environment so this could of been a very daunting experience for him especially with him being poorly, we were seen by a fantastic staff nurse who went above & beyond to see we got the right care quickly & efficiently. She did this for not only us but alot of other children calming them & helping make what is always a parents nightmare seem a lot less traumatic. The Dr & other nurses were also extremely caring & gave fast care. We were allocated a quiet room once assessed which was very comfortable & great for settling my son and allowing him some rest.
I really feel like the paediatric team at treliske don't get the recognition they deserve, it's a highly stressful job with many setbacks and difficult situations in the way this team deserve to be reconised & praised for all their hard work. Thankyou very much for showing my son such a amazing level of care and compassion it is appreciated so much, Anyone who receives care from these wonderful nurses is very lucky!
"Fantastic caring staff."
