"Cardiac Rehab Team"

About: Ayrshire Central Hospital / Douglas Grant Rehabilitation Centre Crosshouse Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I had a heart attack recently which came completely out of the blue and was a huge shock to me. I was a very fit man and for this to happen to me was extremely traumatic and pschychologically had a huge effect on me. It was recommended that I join the 12 week rehab class at the Douglas Grant Clinic at the Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. To say the class was fantastic is an understatement. The professionalism and the sensitivity of the staff involved was first class. I would recommend this class to everyone. The staff were always on hand to provide advice but most of all the class was all about fun. Now after attending the class, my head is in a much better place and it was all down to the staff. I just want to give a huge thanks to Sheena, Hazel, Stacey and Kirsty.

Dear Spinone,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us your story on care opinion. I am not surprised that this came as a shock to you, it must have been a very frightening experience. It is great to hear that the classes have been helpful and fun as well as really helping you to recover.

I will pass on your thanks to Sheena, Hazel, Stacey and Kirsty who I am sure will be delighted.

I hope you are on the mend now!

Best Wishes,

Jenny
