I went for an appointment at the Hysteroscopy clinic. The staff were fabulous, they explained the procedure well and were caring and supportive throughout. The nurse practitioner spoke to me at length and discussed my menopause symptoms, explained them and gave excellent advice. It was fantastic to speak to someone so knowledgeable and understanding. GPs do not have time to spend with you and it is a real lack of service in the NHS for menopausal women. There should be a clinic that women can be referred to or even refer themselves to to help them through this life change which can be very difficult for some women, you find yourself feeling quite isolated. Talking to the nurse at this clinic has made a huge difference to me. I felt so much better having had her advice and suggestions for treatment. More help like this is required. I only got this help as an event had occurred which required investigation and I really wish this clinic was available for all women who need help and support with menopause.
