"Difficult"

I’ve been with this surgery for 15 years and it’s never been so difficult to get an appointment. They recently sent me a letter about booking an asthma clinic review, I called to do this and was told that they were only taking names and phone numbers and would contact people when the clinics were put on! This afternoon, I went into the surgery to try and book a GP appointment and was told that I couldn’t, because there were none available and I needed to call tomorrow when the ones from 27th September would be released. If it was urgent, they advised me to turn up at 8am to get the best chance of getting an appointment, which is impossible when I have to be in Bristol City Centre for work at that time. I was offered no alternatives. It shouldn’t be this difficult to get to see someone. The clinical staff, when you actually manage to see someone, are great.

Thank you for your feedback apologies that your experience with us hasn't been a good one. The reason behind the Asthma letters going out and them taking a list of names is due to our new nurses doing specific Asthma clinics and not doing adhoc clinics. We have changed our appointment system to reduce waiting times to 2 weeks instead of 6 weeks, however some days are busier than others. If you wish to discuss this further please contact the surgery.
