"Children’s outpatient dept"

About: Tameside General Hospital

My four old son came today to have some blood tests and I just wanted to leave a review of our time here.

The dept was easy to find and there was no wait at the department reception. We had a short wait to be seen (appts were only 29 minutes behind)

The dept was clean and tidy and full of things to keep my son occupied.

The ladies who dealt with my son were amazing. I hope my feedback gets back to them because they were both outstanding! So calm and patient with my son, who had become extremely upset....well hysterical actually.....

they were real stars and managed to get the blood tests done despite his tantrums and screams.

Good morning and thank you for taking the time to post these comments about our Children's Outpatient Department. We know that bringing a young child to hospital can be really concerning for them and for you, so it was great to hear that staff behaved as you described during this time and were calm and patient in their approach.

As this is anonymous feedback, these comments will be shared with the Senior Team in the Department and I hope that they will be able to identify the members of staff working on this occasion.

Thanks again for posting these comments, I hope that this visit has given you and your son some assurance of what to expect should you need to visit us again.
