(as a carer),

My daughter was taken to A&E this morning as she wouldn’t walk on her R leg.  Having been ill for a few days, we were worried she might have an infection in one of her joints. 

We were seen very quickly by the great team of nurses and doctors in the ED, and various tests were done to work out what was wrong with my daughters leg, as well as referring us to an orthopaedic consultant to make sure nothing was missed. 

As a nurse myself, it’s hard to be on the other side and be just a mum, when all I wanted to do was help my daughter.  But the brilliant care we received made everything so much easier!

Dear JustAMummy

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your daughter's attendance at A&E with her sore leg.

It can be as you said very difficult to be the mummy and put your nurse hat away when it is your own children and you just want to fix it but I am so glad that you felt put at ease by all the staff and the care you received.

I hope that your daughter is not too sore and off her feet for too long and is soon running around again

The team are fabulous at their job and I will ensure they receive a copy of your feedback which I am sure they will be delighted to receive
