"Impossible to get a GP appointment"

It would be easier to get an audience with the Pope than to get an appointment with a Doctor at this second rate medical practice. It hasn’t always been like this but of late it is terrible. No longer able to make appointments on line, unless I want a smear test but being a man thats’ not really for me.

You are simply told to phone at 0800 for an appointment that day. Firstly a lot of people are on there way to work at that time and secondly an appointment that day is not what is required. Remember many people have to request time off work to attend GP appointments so we require some notice. For a follow up appointment we have to wait for the GP to call us and he may then grant you an audience. Again most can’t take private calls at work. When I pointed this out I was told to call back when I have a day off, really you work on Sat or Sun do you? No I didn’t think so!
