About: North Devon District Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

The hospital has been excellent - for both me and my wife. I had a hip operation 7 weeks ago. The staff, day and night, we absolutely wonderful. The treatment and the care couldn't have been better.

Every department is good though - including endoscopy where I was a few weeks ago. The staff there were fantastic, couldn't praise them enough. Superb.

I've never had treatment like it, I've moved into the area and there is no comparison between the care I got there and what I get here.

The staff really do care for you - especially Dee and Sam, who actually came out of the endoscopy unit to see my wife, they even gave her a hug! That's what you call going the extra mile.

My wife comes here for physiotherapy - and again, they've been incredible, Gillian especially.

They deserve all the praise they get these staff, they're wonderful.

Thank you so much for taking the time to add your very positive comments - I have forwarded your response to both the physiotherapy and endoscopy departments, where I know your comments will be greatly appreciated.

Its really great to see our staff going that "extra mile", as it really does make a difference to the patient's experience, which in turn can make a huge difference to everyones working day, clearly a win, win situation all round.

I am glad to see you are recovering well, and wish you both the best for your ongoing treatment.
