I have had to speak with my GP a lot lately due to my sciatica becoming very painful. I have been put on a lot of medication and referred to the spinal department st the hospital. Whilst dealing with the GP practice I have never once seen a doctor face to face and I have been prescribed controlled drugs and morphine. They have never offered reviews of medication and the only appointments I am offered is over the phone, I find this very concerning. I have not even been face to face with a nurse practitioner. The receptionists have dealt with me in an appalling manner. They are rude and abrupt in manner and do not portray any compassion or care to the patients they deal with. I am a nurse myself and would never speak to one of my patients in such a manner who was upset and in need of support. I have raised complaints with the manager of the receptionists but have still come across this same disappointing attitude
"Lack of compassion and people skills"
