"Accident and emergency dept"

About: West Cumberland Hospital / Accident and emergency

Recovering after a spinal operation that was carried out in Newcastle, I had to attended west cumb hospital due to a post op issue, various tests carried out including MRI, blood tests etc, the results required being shared with the RVI, the emergency dept was a busy place, and I must praise all the staff who cared for my needs,

I was in their care from 11:45 until discharge at 22:30

Special mentions go out to the on call consultant, and his team, they ensured I was informed about my condition, and welfare.and to the domestic cleaner who provided us with a lovely hot cuppa tea.

Thank you all

I am very sorry that you had some post-op issues which meant that you had to attend A&E, it must have been very frightening experience… but thank you for taking the time to leave this positive feedback on the NHS website.

The team involved in your care will be delighted to know that you felt well cared for and I am sure they knew how much you appreciated the information also being shared with your surgeon at the RVI.

I will forward your comments with matron who I know will be delighted to share it with the wider team at West Cumberland Accident and Emergency department.

I do hope that your recovery is going well and that you are comfortable and pain free.

Best regards,

Alison S-D
