I’m writing this review on behalf of my 88 year old Mother who had an appointment confirmed for Saturday 7th September at 1.45 at the Spencer ward for her eye injection for macular degeneration.
As Mum takes warfarin she has to have a blood sample taken at Kettering before her appointment so that the Doctor can see what her current INR reading is.
She has been attending the Spencer Ward and the outpatients eye clinic for some time.
On arrival we went to the usual dept to have her blood taken.
A passing nurse informed us that that dept is not open on Saturday.
We proceeded to the Spencer Ward to be told that because there was no INR reading the Doctor could not do the injection.
What a massive disappointment for Mum and a complete waste of time travelling from Market Harborough.
"What a complete waste of time"
