"I don't feel cared for"

About: Rampton Hospital / Mental Health Service

(as the patient),

On Adwick ward noting what could be helpful to improve this service, noting what could be safer that is of any benefit to the NHS. No care, that makes Rampton very unsafe. To improve, listen to a young black statistics views. I don’t feel cared for by staff that is for sure. The staff argue a lot for certain. Listen and make amends. For community - nowhere near involved.

Thank you for this. I know that staff on Adwick are working hard to help patients progress through the pathway. I agree that the provision of services in the community is inadequate and often isn't meeting the needs of young black men. I'm working to improve this in the East Midlands at the moment.


I hope things work out for you on Adwick. The staff do care for you - we all do. Most people in Rampton do make great progress. I hope you will be able to as well.

I am sorry you don't feel cared for or listened to. I will speak with the Matrons of the service and see if we can improve your experience as a young black man in this environment and also dicuss with TED services on how we they can support your culteral needs.
