(as a parent/guardian),

We cannot fault the care our Son received from medical and nursing staff while he was in SCBU.  

All members of staff kept us up to date on his progress and ongoing treatment. There was a family centred approach to all aspects of his care and we felt very well supported and able to carry out the majority of this. 

Although it is difficult not having your baby at home the unit has been made as comfortable as possible for parents and visitors. (comfortable chairs, family room, tea/ coffee facilities, fridge, water jugs). 

 

We now have our Son home and he is thriving, all thanks to this amazing team.  

 

We will be forever grateful to you all.

Thank you so much for taking time to let us know about your experience in SCBU for yourself and your son. I am so glad to hear he is now doing well at home.

We know that having your baby admitted to SCBU is a really stressful time new parents, their friends and family so its great to hear that you felt supported and cared for. I have shared your feedback with the SCBU team who always appreciate knowing that they have made a difference.
