"Womens and Childrens Unit absolutely brilliant"

We recently had the pleasure of attending Peterboroughs Maternity Unit. When my partner and I found out we were expecting, we originally had all appointments at Lincoln and planned on delivering baby there. However, shortly before babies due date we heard from a couple of new mothers who had recently had their baby delivered at Lincoln and didnt have the best experience. So we decided to deliver the baby at Peterborough, at short notice it must be said, and we were not disappointed! Firstly the hospital is relatively new and modern, and from a partners point of view it has everything you need. From the first day we entered the Women and Childrens Unit, we were treated superbly.

When baby was on her way we were sent for an Induction at the Delivery Suite. From the off my partner was treated superbly. The midwives were brilliant, and were there whenever we needed them without waiting for long periods of time. My partner didnt have the easiest first child birth (a post partum haemorrhage), but the midwives, nurses, anaesthatists and doctors have been out of this world. At no point did my partner feel panicked or worried. All the way through we were made to feel relaxed and comfortable. Their professionalism, approachability and friendliness can only be described as exceptional. If anyone is looking to decide between hospitals, then Peterborough is up there with the best. We cant thank you enough, you have all been absolutely brilliant.
