"Get accused of committing child abuse"

About: Royal Derby Hospital / Emergency department

It was a nice mild saturday afternoon. Had my little lad dropped off so we decided to go to the park . This was on saturday 17th November 2018 bare in mind he was a week away from turning 2. Anyway went towards the park got LO out from pushchair and he started walking on top toes and after a few steps went flat first on his face leaving a mark

Luckily just been to the shop so already had some frozen peas. He wasnt too fond of the ice pack. Later on after visiting the Christmas lights switch on we got home about 7pm. We watched some tv and I left him on the sofa and went to make some snacks before bed. 1 minute I was in there and heard a bang went rushing in to see LO face down on the fireplace which was next to the sofa bawling his eyes out . Comforted him and notice the mark he had on his forehead was bulging out . This was the same place as before.Took a photo of it and tried to put an ice pack . He didnt have it. It was bigger than a £2 coin. Rang 111 for advice to explain who werent really that helpful asking 50 questions whilst I was trying to console LO. Later found out 111 tried to stitch me upto social services saying there wasnt any emotional warmth or contact.

Yeah cause you can see that through a phone. I was slightly in distress hoping LO will be okay. It was a big bulge and felt fluid like. Get to children's A&E and found the two nurses to be quite rude . One even accused me of hurting him. I showed them the pictures after the two falls as well as a indoor camera that picked up the second fall . One of them says "that's the same mark" I'm like no it's not it was taken just after you can see the different backgrounds and time related to the photos as well as the video cam.then asks "was anyone else with you".

It was at the point I knew what was going on wondering if we would be leaving the hospital together tonight . One of them tried to snatch the LO off me . I explained look he may have ASD he likes playing with dangling stuff and he ain't going to fully co-operate and sit still. . Practically laughed at . As on august 2019 he has been diagnosed with ASD.went through see another nurse then peadtrician who wanted to see a photo of the fireplace next to the sofa and see if hes hurt himself anywhere else. Well I'm like "he hasn't got any Mark's if that's why you are asking " made a small complaint about the nurses with a reply "that's just standard procedure ". Final response now its 10pm "these things happen" . Yeah these things do happen and I've got /had proof of them happening . Absolutely disgusted the way we was both treated that night especially me like a criminal. Phoned social services on me. Cheers :) luckily LO was alright makes me wonder if ringing 111 is worth the hassle when you get treated like that .worst hospital experience ever even for any parent. Bare in mind you can watch kids 24/7 when it's just you and LO . Incompetence comes to mind
