I can not fault the care I received in anyway. I was greeted on to ward 5 on Tuesday morning and was quickly seen and had my observations taken. Everyone who needed to see me before my operation had seen me by 8.40. My bloods were taken on the first attempt which has never happened before. I was taken to theatre around 10am. The nurse who took me down talked to me and spent time making sure I was comfortable and ok before she left me. I was taken back to the ward after theatre by a nurse. She looked after me for the rest of the day. She had the greatest bedside manner and really helped me through the sickness and pain. She put me at ease and reassured me that I would be better after a sleep. When it came to being discharged they were very organised and had my medication and discharge letter promptly. I really cannot fault the care that I received and would like to thank the nurse for making my day as comfortable, pain and stress free as possible. I wish every nurse was like her!
