"The birth of my daughter"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital

(as a service user),

Before, during and after the birth of my first daughter the staff at Aberdeen Maternity hospital were absolutely superb. The support to provided to my wife during labour and in the recovery wards was first class, the nurses were so positive, attentive and helpful that it brought me to tears on more than one occasion. 

 In particular, Emma, Sharon and Ndalele in the labour ward and Jo and Doreen in the Summerfield Ward were angels, amazing individuals who deserve to know how much their input helped to comfort, support and strengthen us all during our time in hospital.

Dear PA,


Firstly let me congratulate you on the birth of your daughter and how grateful I am that you took the time to send us this feedback.

It is reassuring to hear that the staff are getting it right and are providing care that is meeting the needs of our service users.

I have witnessed first had what a great team they are and how well they work together to give families the best care possible.


I will share this feedback with the staff involved.
