"Miscommunication & blood tests"

About: General practices in Fife

(as the patient),

Booked appointment to get Blood Borne Virus screening pre- fertility treatment.   Had asked in advance if these could be done via GP & was told by phone that they could be.   Took time of work  to get bloods done & was told on the day that they couldn't be done at GP & would have to be done at specialist clinic.   Really disappointing as time taken off work & this will now delay our fertility treatment.

Dear CEF123

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on care opinion. I am sorry to read that the advice given to you regarding Blood Borne Virus screening was inaccurate. I do appreciate your frustration at this error and the disappointment this delay will bring.

To allow us to investigate or to discuss further any support we could provide, please would you contact our Fertility Specialist Nurse Yvonne Carruthers on 01592643355 ext28407.

Thank you

Wendy Hutchison
