"Recent admission to treat cellulitis"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus / Infectious diseases

I was recently admitted to the ward following a bite from a spider, which had turned in to spreading cellulitis. Being a nurse by background I felt really reassured by the outstanding level of care given to me by all members of staff (I was very anxious about being admitted as an inpatient and feeling so unwell/that things were now out of my control) - the nursing team were always friendly, caring and knowledgeable answering all my questions swiftly. The ward environment was clean and tidy and nothing seemed too much trouble. The consultant in charge of my care was so kind and approachable and could clearly tell how worried I was about having to be admitted but reassured me throughout my stay, keeping me up to date with my blood results and plan of care on a regular basis. All in all I cannot fault the care I was given and I would like to pass on my extended thanks for how grateful I am for the care I received.
