I attended the Urgent Care Centre at Hexham Hospital as I needed a Warfarin prescription while on holiday away from the usual Warfarin clinic where I live in the South East of England.
After a very short wait, I was seen by a nurse whom I showed my Yellow Warfarin dosage book. As a precaution, the friendly nurse took my blood pressure, monitored my heartbeat and carried out an INR test which was showed a normal 'within range' result. I expected to simply be given a written prescription to take to a chemist myself, but to my surprise, the nurse returned after a few minutes, bringing me the medication I needed from the hospital's own pharmacy.
I was back out of the hospital inside of twenty minutes and am very grateful for the efficiency, cleanliness and staff of this lovely, modern hospital!
Thank you so much for helping me!
