"Urgent Care Centre - An Excellent Facility"

About: Hexham General Hospital

I attended the Urgent Care Centre at Hexham Hospital as I needed a Warfarin prescription while on holiday away from the usual Warfarin clinic where I live in the South East of England.

After a very short wait, I was seen by a nurse whom I showed my Yellow Warfarin dosage book. As a precaution, the friendly nurse took my blood pressure, monitored my heartbeat and carried out an INR test which was showed a normal 'within range' result. I expected to simply be given a written prescription to take to a chemist myself, but to my surprise, the nurse returned after a few minutes, bringing me the medication I needed from the hospital's own pharmacy.

I was back out of the hospital inside of twenty minutes and am very grateful for the efficiency, cleanliness and staff of this lovely, modern hospital!

Thank you so much for helping me!

Dear Peter,

What a lovely review to read ? Thank you so much for taking the time to share it. I loved your description of the caring service you received, and the little details that made it outstanding for you. Hexham is a special hospital with excellent staff who feel very proud to serve their local community - I'm so happy that you were able to benefit from their kindness too. In and out of urgent care in 20 minutes and with your medication cant be bad ? Well done team x

Hope you had a safe journey home and we look forward to welcome you back to the area on holiday soon !

with best wishes,

Annie
