"Pine cottage"

About: Colman Hospital

I was sent to pine cottage after having my leg amputated above the knee. The care I received was amazing and can not fault it at all. Everyone involved in my rehabilitation and care was so kind and caring and nothing was to much trouble. The nurses, consultant, physios, Ot’s, cleaning staff and kitchen staff was all wonderful.

I was made to feel that I would be able to overcome my amputation and I have.

I did have a little set back after I had been home a couple of weeks (my own fault I must add) 2 of the physios came to see me and took me back to pine cottage for a week and built up my strength again.

Since then I have done really well and have been going back to have physio and have recently got my prosthetic leg. I cannot thank all involved enough and with out your wonderful support I would not be where I am today. Thank you each and everyone of you at pine cottage.

Hello

Thank you so much for your lovely comment about Pine Cottage Amputee service and for the 5 stars you awarded them. It sounds as though your rehabilitation and multidisciplinary care was delivered as we would hope it to be and so good that it was with kindness and caring as well as great team work. I will ensure your lovely message is passed on to the team and that you continue to do well now you have your prosthetic leg.

Kind regards

Christine Little, Patient Experience Lead, Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust
