"Incredible care at James Cook Hospital"

About: The James Cook University Hospital / Neurosurgery

(as a relative),

I wrote a few weeks ago about my son who was taken to ICU2 in May.

When I last wrote he was being transferred to ward 8 as it was a new ward to him and not a high dependency unit, so I was concerned at first.

I would like to say that my experience as a mother and visitor to that ward was incredible, they looked after my son like he was a relative and he started to come on in leaps and bounds. The nurses were so lovely and although my son was still really poorly they managed to make him smile.

Everything was always spotless and hats off to those male and female nurses on that ward, just like all the other wards they work tirelessly. The Ward manager Jeanette was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for her, and the consultant was very understanding and helpful.

My son has now been transferred to the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Ward 26 and to date my experience is the same as the rest of the hospital. If there is any way my story can help to give James Cook University Hospital an award I would gladly do so.

Thank you all, and I look forward to posting that my son will be coming home soon.
