(as a service user),

Most of the care and professional attention I have received has been excellent: painstaking, patient-centred and sensitively thoughtful; - because the individual doctors, nurses and other professionals have been caring.

The exceptions and my reservations are:

(1)The failure of a consultant to understand that in my view he had a duty to inform me and prepare me personally and professionally that he was leaving his post.

(2) The frenetic atmosphere, sometimes oppressive - the overwork expected of staff for too many patients in a session; in the chemotherapy suite at Lincoln, at times. Hugely frustrating and upsetting for patients and staff. Staffing levels?

Thank you for taking the time to write on Care Opinion. Comments are always greatly appreciated.

Yes, unfortunately the area is extremely busy at times, demand has outweighed capacity. This is something that management are aware of. The hope that in the not too distant future there will be a larger unit which in turn will improve the patient journey
