"Referred after having chest pain"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I went to my local GP early on a Friday morning.  They did some tests there but were concerned I may have something more serious.  I was sent to Forth Valley hospital and was given an extensive examination with Blood work and  chest X-rays.

I cannot fault the NHS that day I was given reassurance at all times and felt safe that they were taking me seriously at all times.  Luckily it turned out to be muscular pain and nothing serious.  There is often negative press about NHS services but they did a fabulous job for me when I was very anxious about this pain.

I travel a lot and know that many country's do not have a free healthcare system. I feel privileged to live in Scotland and would support our NHS at all times.

Thank you

Dear Happy Scot,

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch, it must have been a very worrying time for you.

I am so pleased to hear that you were so well looked after, this must have given you confidence and reassurance at such an anxious time, and will have been a great relief following the examination to be given the all clear.

I have shared your lovely feedback with the team of staff that will have looked after you and wish to pass on their thanks and best wishes.

I hope you are fully recovered.

Kindest regard

Pauline Donnelly
