I was very fortunate to get a referral from my GP to SYED. Through regular 1-to-1 weekly meetings, I have firstly found a hugely sympathetic "ear". Secondly, I have been supported to change bad eating habits so that I am now a healthy BMI and am eating 3 proper meals a day. It has been like having a strong "shoulder to cry on": a combination of much needed empathy and coping mechanisms. I now feel like the person I used to be 10-15 years ago. It is as if someone has "switched my light" back on. My confidence has re-emerged and I feel much stronger. And most importantly, healthier. I cannot thank the service enough for the unrelenting care and support over the past 6 months. I am very grateful.
"My confidence has re-emerged"
