I had a cataract removed from each eye on two separate appointments. I knew what to expect from the useful booklet sent to me. Each stage of my visit was efficient and carried out by friendly staff, from reception to the operating theatre. Free tea, coffee and water was a good idea during the waiting time. There were only 4 patients at a time in the comfortable room before moving to have more eye drops inserted in a separate room. I was shown one to one attention. Even the busy surgeon comes to introduce himself and ask how you are before entering the theatre. All signs of another person had been removed and the couch cleaned. I was impressed by the efficient system and calm, organised staff. There was always someone to lead me to the next place so I felt cared for and clear what was coming next. Finally a nurse checks with you that you have transport . At no time did I feel
I was on a conveyer belt. An excellent experience.
