About: St James's University Hospital

Admitted to A&E on 3/8/19 after 13 hours in LGI diagnosed with lung cancer, appointment at lung clinic for confirmation 7/8/19

PET CT Scan arranged for 15/8/19, cancellation due to injection failing QC test. Rearranged for 20/8/19 @ 9am then rescheduled to 12 noon subsequently cancelled and rearranged for 21/8/19 cancelled once again, told another appointment after August bank holiday. Bronchoscopy and biopsy undertaken week later as dependent on scan results, so of course these cancelled and rescheduled, but lack of contact between private company doing scan and NHS department. Only with contact from patient are department made aware of cancellations

What happened to the 3 week rule of treatment following diagnosis

Don't these tests have any importance attached to them!!

TREATMENT CANNOT START UNTIL RESULTS RECEIVED
