I arrived early on a Monday morning to be admitted for a shoulder replacement on ward 22.I was warmly welcomed and personal details taken in a professional manner.I was visited by the anaesthetist who explained the upcoming procedure and then by the surgeon who explained the operation I was to undergo.I felt very safe as this-surgeon had been involved in two previous surgeries on the same shoulder in the previous two years,I felt this continuity gave me great confidence.Post operative care which followed was caring and cheerful, my pain relief was good and the atmosphere of the ward was positive, in fact in a strange way I enjoyed my stay. All the staff including the housekeeping, cleaning and volunteers-contributed to the pleasant ambience. If I needed to return in future for further surgery I would not have any problem.Thank you for my care.
