"Trying to get an appointment at birdwell"

About: The Grove Medical Practice

28 days to get an appointment at birdwell to see a doctor is outrageous.

Was offered other appointments at Brampton much sooner.

So as birdwell surgery only opens sometimes 2 x half days a week, I suggest you close Brampton 1 day and put the doctor in Birdwell.

Every time I ring for an appointment I cannot get in at birdwell where I live but can get in at Brampton some 75 minute 2 seperate bus ride away, which I

Have had to do twice now whilst others are having to go to Brampton, it is giving the impression that birdwell is not busy enough to open full time when in fact having to wait 28 days it must be.

Many thanks for your comments Mr Heap. We are experiencing unprecedented times due to the Covid19 pandemic and we are working extremely hard to make sure that all our patients receive the very best care. Unfortunately that means that we have had to change some of our practice 'working ways'. We are pleased to be able to offer both Brampton Health Centre & The Grove Medical Practice as alternative surgeries should the doctor invite you for a face to face consultation. As you are aware our initial GP appointments are 'telephone triage' which we are unable to give specific time slots for clinical contact to patients therefore we ask that you keep your phone close by until you are contacted. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
