i was in A and E for almost 5 hours today Friday August 16th as a concerned relative. My 80 year old brother was brought in by ambulance after suffering the after effects of a fall on Wednesday August 14th. I cannot speak more highly about the care, consideration and respect shown to my brother. The doctor on duty was brilliant in the way he informed and involved my sister and me about the symptoms, prognosis and recommended pathway for treatment. At all times he treated my brother, the patient, who was confused and is extremely hard of hearing with courtesy and consideration and made sure he was aware of what he, the doctor, was considering and recommending. I find it hard to believe that the NHS provides such care and consideration and respect for the patients in their care at Pinderfields Hospital. I am genuinely amazed, surprised and pleased.
