I was admitted to the cardiac unit on 1st August 2019 for open heart surgery. I had a double coronary bypass, an tissue aortic valve replacement and reduction aortoplasty. I was discharged on the 8th August having spent time in the ICU, HDU, and the general ward. At no time did I feel anxious or stressed which was, of course, down to the wonderful sympathetic and professional care from all the staff in the cardiac unit. I was very impressed by the levels of hygiene. I would like to thank all concerned for my care. You can all feel very proud of what you do, the lives you save and the quality of lives you improve. Thanks to you all from the bottom of my heart (Pun Intended)..
