"I couldn't have been in better hands"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I gave birth to my little boy early in June at BGH and cannot speak highly enough of how we were treated and my overall experience. Each and every midwife, doctor, assistant and member of staff were beyond helpful, kind, knowledgeable, confident, encouraging and supportive. I’ve never been in hospital before but my 3 night stay felt more like I was in a hotel than a hospital.

I had an emergency c-section and felt quite overwhelmed with the situation but I couldn’t have been in better hands.

Thank you so much Sln for sharing such lovely feedback with us.

Having a stay in hospital can be such a stressful time - never mind the added stress of going to theatre and having an emergency operation - very overwhelming.

We aim to provide person centred care, and I am so pleased we have achieved this - saying you ‘couldn’t have been in better hands’ means so much to us all as a team that we are getting it right for our families at such a special time in your lives!

Many congratulations on the birth of your little boy - I hope you have made a good recovery and enjoying every moment with your bundle of joy!

Kind regards

Claire
