(as the patient),

I recently had a day surgery procedure at Wishaw Hospital and cannot praise highly enough the nursing and medical team's care.  From arrival at the unit, I was greeted by Staff Nurse Melissa who was extremely kind and reassuring at an anxious time.  I was then looked after by Amy and Cheryl, staff nurses in the unit who ensured that the admission process and post op recovery was clearly understood.  I was very well cared for and able to go home in the early evening.  Mr Hassan the surgeon was very patient centred as was Dr Mathew the anaesthetist who explained the full procedure and looked after me very well along with Stephen in the anaesthetic room.

Must also mention Laura Young in pre-assessment at Hairmyres Hospital who was lovely and helpful in explaining pre-op requirements.
