"Ambulanced in after falling and breaking my nose"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

After tripping and falling in a garden literally just outside the Hospital, an Ambulance was called that took me to A&E. The waits were long obviously, but there was not one impatient, tetchy, miserable nor condescending member of staff anywhere.I was eventually taken to the ENT Ward where I was treated in a treatment room. This was lengthy and thorough. I expressed I didn't want to be admitted for my own reasons (I was anxious and my dog was alone) and the tests were carried out with dignity. I finally left at 3am in the morning but simply only had to cross the back road to my partners house.

The member of staff and the Doctor in the red overalls (scrubs) on the Ward should be recognised, both patient and caring. My rapid recovery is fairly and squarely down to their calming manner. Thank you to the whole setup.

It is especially pleasing to read comments such as these, as it reinforces to me that our staff try extremely hard to ensure we treat our patients according to the Trust’s values of professionalism, care and understanding.

You can be assured that I will share these with our colleagues in A&E and Clayton Ward.

I wish you the very best in your recovery falling your garden trip and hope your dog was ok when you got home.

Sharon
