Went to Haywood as I’d been having pain in my ankle for over a week and was unable to walk on it correctly for a few days at the time of me attending Haywood. I was booked in by a lovely lady who couldn’t have been more helpful if she tried, however I was then called in by a very rude nurse who poked and prodded my ankle to the point of tears for her to turn around and say go home put ice on it and rest, which I had been doing for over a week and it wasn’t getting any better hence the trip to Haywood. I spoke to the woman on the desk who kindly informed that I’d been put on the treatment list rather than being discharged, she went and found a nurse to find out what was happening, once that nurse came and spoke to me she was extremely rude, told me I could walk on my ankle and that I was wasting their time basically, she spoke down to me and bottled me in front of everybody in the waiting room. I came away with my partner none the wiser about my ankle than when I went in. I understand they can get busy but they didn’t see my correctly in the first place no offer of an X-ray or anything just to be told you can walk on it, no I could very little weight on my toes and that was killing me.
"Rude and belittled me"
