I travelled to BPAS Middlesbrough to have a surgical procedure, and I’m very impressed with how I was treated on the day. The practice is a bit hidden, so could do with some signs within the building to direct you. All of the staff were very friendly, and calmed my nerves during the consultations before the procedure. They made sure I had a full understanding of what was going to happen and answered all my questions. I was treated with dignity when I had to change into the stylish surgery gown, and was hidden from the other patients at all times. I am especially thankful for the two lovely nurses who were with me while I was having the procedure, they talked to me throughout and kept me updated with what was happening, they held my hand and were very understanding that I wasn’t feeling too well. Afterwards, I was monitored and was given the yummiest biscuits. Unfortunately I vomited after my procedure but the staff were so professional and understanding, and made me feel comfortable. I cant thank them enough. The only thing I would suggest is to be given more information after the procedure on what to expect and what is normal for the next few days and the healing process. I feel that part was slightly rushed however I know they were very busy that day. Thank you BPAS.
