I have tried, over several weeks to get a face to face appointment without success. The only way you can get an appointment is by phone, and that is after getting through a queue of other callers, sometimes 20+ in front of me. I have never known a GP surgery to be so difficult to make an appointment as I have in the last 6-12 months. Appalling!! Keep getting fobbed off by staff on the phone or reception saying the same thing over and over again, eg. Oh there are a lot of sick people at the moment, or, we are experiencing problems with the new phone system but hope it will be sorted out soon. Come on guys! Stop all this nonsense and pull your finger out! I, like many others, are suffering intolerable pain. We need to be treated with a reasonably quick turn around. Acomb Medical Practice, and York Medical Group need to urgently remedy what is an appalling service for our community back to how it used to be a couple of years ago.
