"Maternity care staff uncaring"

While the staff that performed my C section were amazing, I was very upset by my stay on ward 9. On one occasion I waited over an hour after asking for pain relief. After finally managing to get up unaided to use the toilet, I overheard staff discussing me at the midwife station and passing judgement on me. This is not treating patients with respect. I left the ward earlier than advised to get away from this kind of treatment.

We are terribly sorry to hear that your stay on Ward 9 was completely unacceptable and we would like to look into what went wrong and discuss your care with you. Please contact 01908 996 398 or 01908 996 399 to discuss what happened with the matron and sister of the ward. Once again we are sorry to hear about your poor experience of care at our hospital.
