"The receptionist remained calm and reassuring at all times"

I was waiting  in the main foyer of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary during the 10 minutes I was waiting the receptionist on duty was incredibly busy with patients and visitors queries. 

The receptionist was extremely helpful to everyone. But not only this she was polite, approachable and seemed to be going out of her way to assist. Offering additional support for those with mobility issues, rearranging this by telephone. The receptionist area was very busy but the receptionist herself remained calm and reassuring at all times. What a wonderful member of staff to be greeted by on approach to a busy hospital environment. Great work that should not go unnoticed or appreciated.

Yesterday I showed the receptionist on duty your post and she was very pleased that the team had been acknowledged for their calm and assured approach to their work. I also ensured that the manager of the reception team was aware of the post.

It is great to see the support services being recognised for their contribution to our excellent NHS.

Can I clarify that the receptionist on duty that day will be individually made aware of the feedback I have provided. It is important in this instance that the individual staff member receives the feedback as it was her person centred approach that made me take the time to comment. Thanks again.
