"Care and Support"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / General Medicine (Wards 9-12)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Ward 12

Staff excellent, both professional and ancillary. Staff use your first name which is comforting. Doctors explicit in what they are doing and explain clearly. Saves worrying about things. Future care plan is in place.

Family happy with care of patient and will ask staff for information. Staff come for a wee chat when passing which is uplifting.

Dear Uhh37,

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience of Ward 12 with our volunteer. The feedback you've provided will be gratefully received by all hospital staff, as this is the standard of treatment and care that we aspire to provide.

Good, clear information and communication is fundamental to shared decision making which we know leads to improved clinical outcomes; I'm delighted that has been the case for you, reducing any anxieties you may have had.

It will be my pleasure to share your feedback with the ward team.

Kind regards

Rick
