"Poor appointment system and communications"

About: Western Eye Hospital / Ophthalmology

I was referred for cataracts in February 2019 and received an appointment for June. This was cancelled by WEH. I then received a new appointment for mid July.. This again was cancelled and a further appointment offered for Saturday July 27th. Dated 14th sent 2nd class and received July 20th. I could not attend and phoned as required on receiptof the new appointment. I was advised that someone would call back within 2hours. I waited for 2days and called again. Again I was told someone would call back as soon as they were back at their desk. Again I waited for 2days..I then obtained an appointment through the NHS online referral booking system for Mid October. It will be 35weeks from referral to first appointment. Is this reasonable?
