"These staff deserve the recognition and I applaud you"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I recently had a planned procedure at the endoscopy Suite At LCH.

I was feeling quite anxious and nervous prior to my appointment.

On my arrival I was greeted with a friendly smile by the receptionist.

The nurses treated me with excellent person centred care, dignity and compassion. One nurse in particular called Sheila made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout my stay. Nothing was too much for her !

The consultant who carried out my procedure  Mr Khan explained everything to me thoroughly. He talked to me throughout the whole procedure, reassuring me and asking me if I was comfortable and he was very attentive. The two nurses that assisted Mr Khan in the treatment room were fantastic and delivered excellent person centred care. They were fantastic and made me feel comfortable and well supported.

I came away feeling very positive and that I’d received excellent care.

These staff deserve the recognition and I applaud you.

Kind regards

A happy patient.

Hi KHL

Thank you for your feedback which was good to read. As you say, the thought of an endoscopy procedure can be really terrifying and the staff know how important it is to help you settle and be at ease as much as possible - reassuring and explaining things to you at each step is one of the most important ways to do this and clearly Mr Khan and Sheila did a great job.

I know they will be really pleased to read this. Thank you again for your posting - it is really valuable to us.

Regards

Mandy
