"A huge weight off my shoulders"

I don’t normally post reviews so for me to do so means I have had exceptional treatment. I had a chat with the lovely health visitor at the surgery expanding my concerns as I hadn’t had a smear test since 2002 due to a bad experience and the anxiety, I suffer just thinking about it. She was so patient explaining how lovely the nurse was , she was kind enough o check with the doctor to see if I could have a prescription for something to relax me so that I don’t get so anxious and speak to the nurse who would be doing the smear to explain my concerns. She called me back the same day.to say she had arranged the prescription and we set an appointment date. On the day of the appointment I was so nervous but was met by the health visitor and the practice nurse and they were just so lovely the heath visitor even offered to hold me hand through the procedure. The nurse was so kind and completely understand how I felt, she put me at ease, made some good talk and hey presto.. it was over within a matter of minutes. I cannot explain to you the relief I feel finally having built up the courage to face my anxiety straight one. If you are reading this review and have had a smear test, make an appointment as they were brilliant! I wouldn’t have been able to go through with it without the care and support they gave me.
